Description

Sesamo and ECVET > Guides

The guides are designed to support the users and the coordinators/supervisors involved in mobility projects which provide the students with two opportunities: going on an internship abroad or undertaking a training period in a foreign training organisation.
The coordinators/supervisors play an important role since they are in charge of providing information on practical arrangements as well as arranging counselling, teaching and tutoring services. They usually work in the sending and/or host organisation.
The consortium has agreed on writing two guides: one pertaining to the internship abroad and the other one dealing with the training period abroad. They were designed according to a matrix where the phases of the mobility period fit together with the functions/roles performed by the users and the coordinators.

User guide
It is divided in two sections: internship and training period.

The matrix identifies the functions/roles performed by the user
- informative
- counselling
- documentation and products
as well as the phases of the mobility period; in particular
- design/planning
- mobility period
- assessment and financial report.

The matrix can have a double interpretation:

  • the user performs the three functions during the whole period (for example, in the design/planning the user can get information, use counselling services and he/she should prepare the documentation)

- you should follow the steps "User Guide - Internship - Informative - Design/Planning" in order to get information on the informative function in the design/planning phase

  • all functions can be found in the three phases (for example, the user gets information in the design/planning phase, during the mobility period and when preparing the documentation)

- you should follow the steps "User Guide - Internship - Counselling - Mobility period" in order to get information on the counselling function in the mobility period.

Coordinator/Supervisor guide
It is divided in two sections: internship and training period.

The matrix identifies the functions performed by the coordinator/supervisor:
- organization/logistics
- training/didactics
- counselling
- assessment/certification/validation
as well as the phases of the mobility period; in particular
- design/planning
- management/implementation
- monitoring - financial report - administration tasks.

The matrix can have a double interpretation:

  • the coordinator/supervisor performs the four functions during the whole period (for example, in the design/planning the coordinator is in charge of practical arrangements; he/she designs the training course, provides counselling services, arranges the assessment, the certification and the validation)

- you should follow the steps "Coordinator/Supervisor Guide - Internship - Organization/Logistics - Design/Planning" in order to get information on the organization/logistics function in the design/planning phase

  • all functions can be found in the three phases (for example, different coordinators/supervisors from the sending or host organisations perform the training/didactics function in the design/planning phase, during the management/implementation phase, the monitoring and when preparing the financial and administrative report)

- you should follow the path "Coordinator/Supervisor Guide - Internship - Counselling - Management/Implementation" in order to get information on the counselling function in the management phase.
