Coordinator - Supervisor guide > Training period > Assessment Certification Validation
During the training period abroad the different parties involved in the training activity perform specific tasks pertaining both to the formative and summative assessment.
1. The school manager or a delegate is in charge of:
a. the result of the summative assessment carried out at the end of the training period abroad
b. the possible allocation of credits
c. coordinating, in cooperation with the teachers, the choice of the minimum grade to get a positive mark.
Sometimes the training period abroad doesn't match with the traditional assessment periods (quarter, four-months) carried out by the host partner and therefore it will be necessary to assess the single units.
In regard to the certification the school manager can award an intermediate certificate referred to single units and not to the whole course. In this last case, the Certificate Supplement should be attached to the national one.
2. The teachers are in charge of:
a. the formative assessment aimed at improving the programme; it is important since it enables to arrange appropriate adjustments and measures
b. the summative assessment referred to single units; in case of one exchange student the teacher should take into account of the learning outcomes acquired as well as the difficulties and the possible improvement.
3. The coordinator and/or supervisor:
a. plays an important role in making the formative assessment effective
b. tries to involve the whole teaching staff.
