Description

Sesamo and ECVET > SESAMO project

SESAMO project takes into account the obstacles pertaining to the student's mobility; such difficulties are due to the fact that the mobility is not a common and habitual practice. Therefore it is necessary to

  • represent the qualifications through clear and easily readable templates. Indeed the European education & training systems are characterised by a large number of qualifications, diplomas, certificates which can be obtained in different ways
  • have at disposal a set of instruments designed to promote the cooperation among the organisations interested in mobility experiences. As a matter of fact currently the training organizations and their coordinators can hardly identify and validate the learning outcomes gained during a training period in a foreign country.

SESAMO project aims at
1. contributing to the systems readability and transparency by

  • analysing and representing through semantic maps the models and the links among the education & training systems of few partner countries
  • integrating the links by adopting a top-down approach having EQF and ECVET as benchmarks
  • developing instruments to facilitate the readability among systems; such process is also possible thanks to the elaboration of a prototype functional to the semantic research (VETLINKS) and based on H.E.LE.N. outcomes

2. contributing to the development of the mutual trust among the training organizations and their coordinators by

  • carrying out a simulation process and using the guide designed in B.E.A.TR.I.C. project functional to fill in the Certificate Supplement
  • integrating the information concerning the certification with those pertaining to the units, the assessment standards and the credits allocated by the host organization and validated by the sending institution
  • analysing in detail EQF, ECVET, EUROPASS and EQARF
  • elaborating users and coordinators guides which collect the observations and the inputs come out during the mobility simulation (internship or training period).
