ECVET - Application to mobility projects

In 2008 a Committee was established under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs in order to submit a proposal about the setting out of a Greek NQF to be implemented in 2011. The Committee has representatives by OEEK, EKEPIS, ESSEEKA, trade unions, employers associations and external experts. The Continuous training is moving towards a learning outcomes-based approach. The absence of a general framework for the validation of the Informal and Non formal learning represents another obstacle towards the development of a National Qualification Framework.

In regard to ECVET a conference was organized with the participation of all relevant stakeholders in order to prepare a national proposal to implement the ECVET in Greece. Actually lots of Universities are implementing the ECTS; the Diploma Supplement is also used.
