Coordinator - Supervisor guide > Internship > Assessment Certification Validation

In the designing phase it's important to remind that the internship process has to be evaluated because the trainee needs to know which learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills and competences should be recognized.
The learning outcomes and KSC are not common yet but the EQF implementation by 2012 will entail their use by the Member States; therefore the coordinator/supervisor should know and be able to use them.
The coordinator of the sending organisation, in coordination with the host organization and/or the company, draws up and delivers to the trainee a Joint Report for evaluation purposes together with a letter of introduction.

Two certification templates exist:

  • one awarded by the host organisation and undersigned by the company and the sending institution. The certificate is on the host organisation's headed paper; it is sent to the company to be signed and stamped; finally the trainee has to deliver it to the sending organisation for the final validation
  • the Europass Mobility should be arranged in coordination with the National Europass Centre (NEC) which will give a national code and put the date on it; then the company and the supervisor have to fill in the sections concerning the internship. Once the document is signed and stamped, it will be sent to the host organization for the final validation and to the trainee for the signature. The filled document will be definitively validated by the sending institution.
